Example

UKHSA provided radiation protection advice and radio-analytical support to a specialist demolition company. The work involved remediation of a site which had previously used naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM). UKHSA were tasked to identify the extent of contamination and develop the land remediation strategy. UKHSA liaised with Regulators, site owners and demolition operators and ensured all aspects of radiation safety and compliance through all stages of the remediation project.
