Food Analysis
We have extensive experience providing food analysis reports to satisfy a wide range of country import authority regulations. We're also experienced providing analysis of food imported into the UK. A wide range of food is tested to prove compliance with UK regulations and to provide monitoring data to the EC.
Some of the sample types the UKHSA regularly analyses include:
- Drinking water from Private Water Supplies
- Commercially available bottled waters (at source and bottled)
- Imported foodstuffs
- Consumer goods e.g. imported toys and sweets
Example
Mushrooms have an ability to bio-accumulate certain radionuclides and this can be of particular importance depending on the country of origin and the level of radioactivity in the soil. We have experience analysing mushrooms for a range of radionuclides to meet the most stringent requirements specified by a broad range of import/export organisations.
