Research Gate profile

Danny has multiple years' experience across industry, academic, and clinical research positions. Working with bacterial, viral, and mammalian cultures, Danny has a range of practical experience. Notable research includes a study into the efficacy and suitability of salivary antibody assays in the detection of SARS-CoV-2 infections.

Since joining the Cytogenetics group within the Radiation Effects Department, Danny has focused on a number of DNA damage assays such as γ-H2AX and the Dicentric Chromosome assays, the latter of which plays a crucial role within our Chromosome Dosimetry Service. Going forward, Danny plans to incorporate these assays, alongside gene expression and protein analyses, into the ongoing research carried out within the group.
