NDAWG guidance notes and supporting reports
The National Dose Assessment Working Group (NDAWG) operated between 2002 and 2014 and promoted best practice in radioactive dose assessment by publishing seven guidance notes and supporting reports. These publications, available using the link to the right, are now maintained by the Practitioner Group on the Impact of Radioactivity in the Environment (PGIRE). Established in 2018, PGIRE supports consistency in the assessment and regulation of environmental radiation exposure by sharing best practice and improving assessment methods and result interpretation by identifying where additional guidance and research is needed.
