Philip is a senior bioinformatician working in the Cancer Mechanisms and Biomarkers group within UKHSA's Chemical, Radiation and Environmental Hazards. He is involved in several research projects aimed at better understanding the effects of medical, occupational and accidental exposure of ionising radiation on human health. As a PhD graduate in computational systems biology, Philip specialises in extracting novel biological insights from complex sources such as genomic and (epi-)transcriptomic data, derived from biomedical and laboratory samples. He enjoys learning new skills and likes keeping up to date with new computational methods.
