Patient Safety in Radiotherapy Steering Group (PSRT)
The PSRT coordinates the efforts of:
- UKHSA
- Institute for Physics & Engineering in Medicine
- Patient Safety Team, NHS England
- Royal College of Radiologists
- Society of Radiographers
- Lay representative
in improving patient safety in radiotherapy, including the dissemination of learning from RTE via Safer Radiotherapy publications and cornerstone guidance documents.
Advancing Safer Radiotherapy
Advancing safer radiotherapy has been designed by the multi-disciplinary radiotherapy community to provide guidance on how to place a greater focus on the patient as an active, valued participant in safety. The guidance will also support providers to build upon existing national recommendations, in place since the publication of Towards Safer Radiotherapy (TSRT), to reflect and consolidate contemporary approaches to patient safety.
