Overview

UKHSA is the UK's primary authority carrying out research to advance knowledge about protection from the risks of radiation. In addition we have been integral in establishing world leading Electromagnetic Fields safety standards.

This one-day course is designed to meet the needs of people working in local authorities, as well as professionals working in environmental health, planning and public health medicine.

Our courses are taught to a high standard, with learning further supported by comprehensively equipped training venues and in-depth, reference quality printed course information. Everything is done so that each student is fully supported to achieve the highest standard of course completion.

The course provides background knowledge about the possible health effects associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and updates on related policy developments. It covers public and occupational exposures associated with the use of existing technologies, such as the distribution and use of electricity, as well as new and emerging wireless technologies.
